Stephen Aiken has been involved with modern and contemporary art for fifty years. Aiken\u2019s work has been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions<\/p><\/div><ul class=\"gb-social-links\"><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His critical writing and photographs have appeared in Art News, Provincetown Arts Magazine, Art New England and several publications in France, Germany, &amp; Switzerland. Aiken&#8217;s first foray into publishing came in 1968 with two reviews for the Boston Globe&#8217;s Arts and Humanities section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aiken is presently represented by<a href=\"https:\/\/elzapotegallery.com\/product-category\/artist\/stephen-aiken\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> El Zapote Gallery <\/a>&#8211; Merida MX, and 234 Gallery Hannah &#8211; Wellfleet Mass and The School House Gallery, Provincetown, Mass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Engagement with art history<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aiken first exhibited at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum in 1975. And later at the Hell town Salon Gallery Ehva, and Hammock Gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is the cofounder of s.p.a.c.e. SDCA The Seaport District Cultural Association date and 234 Gallery Hannah<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2007-2010 Aiken worked as a curator for Seaport District Cultural Association in Downtown Manhattan.
